Last Friday, over 50 Norfolk apprentices came together at St. Andrews Hall in Norwich to celebrate their achievements at the annual Apprenticeships Norfolk Graduation Ceremony. The event, sponsored by Great Yarmouth College, Osiris Technologies, Easton and Otley College, Norfolk Community Learning Services and Norfolk Training Services saw graduates from across the county receive a graduation scroll in recognition of their success.
Stuart Clancy, Chairman of the Norfolk County Council Economic Development Sub-committee said “This is the third year that the Apprenticeships Norfolk Network has held a graduation ceremony and it’s part of Norfolk County Council’s strategy to put Apprenticeships on a par with other forms of further and higher education. Over the past 4 years we have invested heavily in partnership with colleges, training providers, schools and support organisations in the development of more quality Apprenticeships for our county. It’s wonderful to see things going from strength to strength with more new apprentices of all ages starting in Norfolk this year than in previous years.”
James Mason, Director of Norfolk Training Services and Chair of New Anglia Learning Providers said “It is a pleasure to be part of this great celebration again this year and really encouraging to see so many people successfully completing their Apprenticeships at all levels. Apprenticeships can help and support businesses to develop and grow their existing workforce and recruit new talent, these people graduating here are the future of Norfolk”
Other guests on the night included local employers, FE providers and colleges and organisations that support individuals and employers to create exciting new opportunities.
